World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The feature of upgrading items lets players upgrade their existing equipment. This can be accomplished by any item upgrader NPC.
Upgrades boost the stats of an item and also add additional features based on the type of item. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs, or Goldwrap for caster builds.
Armour
Armour is one of the most important factors that keep Link safe from harm in the majority of situations. Although it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, it can be improved in different ways to improve its defence capabilities.
The principle of armour is to shield the person or animal from physical injury or harm, either from direct physical assault or from a range of dangers to the environment or activity. In the past, armour was primarily constructed from leather or fabric but later, protections made of metal were used as well particularly in military applications like heavy cavalry or combat drones.
Like weapons there are a variety of ways in which armour can be upgraded, but most will require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique level of upgrades available with higher levels of upgrades granting higher levels of protection, and needing a higher amount of rupees and materials to unlock.
The first thing to remember about Armor Upgrades is they are permanent upgrades and after they've been put in place, they cannot be replaced unless there is another piece of equipment that comes with the same upgrade. It is crucial to only apply the highest grade of upgrades to your gear and that you have the materials needed to complete the upgrade.
In terms of acquiring the upgrade components needed you'll find them all over Hyrule such as shrines, merchants, and even enemies. These will generally be marked with a gold circle or a blue triangle symbol, and will be available in large numbers as you advance through the game. Although they can appear randomly, there is an opportunity that acquiring certain upgrade components will trigger quests that reward players with more.
It's also worth noting that even though the amount of protection provided by each upgrade varies but it's the same across all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. A complete set of upgraded armor will give you a strong defense boost that protects you from all types of attacks and will also protect against magic. This makes it a formidable weapon for any class.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns with special upgrades to make them truly unique. They can boost damage, alter the weapon's stats in order to adapt to your particular build and even unlock new attachments, such as unique enchantments, ammo types and other options for aesthetics.
To upgrade a weapon you'll need an upgrade component ready and the item itself. The weapon must also be at a certain level for the upgrade to be effective and the majority of weapons can only accept one upgrade at one time.
You can find weapon upgrade components scattered around the globe and from the hands of enemies and can be bought from a merchant. The upgrade components themselves are a mix of ingredients that can be incorporated into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or other effect when they are in use. They require equipment to be of a certain level to accept the upgrade and can be upgraded in the same manner as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mixture of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they are used to improve the stats of a base weapon, and also to increase its scalability with other stats. These upgrades are available from enemies in the open or from merchants. They can also be obtained through combat.
Two NPCs can enhance your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji located in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs will take your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a higher-level version of the weapon as well as an enhancement.
Prioritize upgrading your best-in slot items first. Then upgrade those that you won't replace soon. Upgrade your weapon first, then upgrade your chest, shoulders hands, feet, and hands in case you intend to play an asymmetrical build. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that certain items may be better than others depending on your playstyle. Armour is no different, with some Reforges being better than others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one magic item. If an upgrade project is canceled, no further upgrades will be planned for that item. Upgraded magic items cost twice the amount of gold to create or purchase, however they may have additional benefits.
A magical item could be any item with special properties or effects. These items are mostly weapons, but they can also be shields, armors, cloaks and potions. They can also be rings, scrolls, or other items. Some of these items can be made to speak.
The majority of magic items enhance their capabilities. This makes them more useful to a player or help players overcome difficult situations. A weapon that is infused can provide bonus damage against a particular type of enemy, for instance. This is particularly beneficial for characters that have reached a point at which they'll likely encounter the same kind of monster in dungeons over and over again.
A ring that is infused with magic may grant immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon, pierce, or slash (excluding silvered attacks) until the character gets another long rest. item upgrades is particularly beneficial for combatants who are melee or anyone who wants to save the cost and hassle of purchasing shields.
Certain items with enchanted properties have special abilities which allow the character to cast spells in addition to those listed on their class's list of spells. This is beneficial for characters who have trouble filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These magical objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana), and the spell is determined by rolling a table that is based on the amount of Intelligence point expended.
Other objects that are enchanted can permit the character's appearance to change, or they could even create a completely new one. These items are especially useful for characters that are forced to leave their home, or are located in an area in which they are not welcomed. An enchanted item might provide them with an invisibility effect, or perhaps make them invisible to anyone but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are any equipment that does not fall into the categories of Armor or Clothing and have a variety of capabilities. Utility items are not compatible with each other, as opposed to weapons or armor. The majority of utility items have a passive effect which the player can activate when using them. However, some of them have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button or activating an ability.
The Flashlight is the most popular utility item. It is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other utilities include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to float in the air while moving and the Jetpack which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. Many utilitarian items can be quickly produced in the Engineering section while others can be unlocked through Research projects or experimental projects at the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items available in the standard inventory, players can also obtain additional useful items of utility by buying them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded for greater effectiveness.
Most utility items enhance a specific combat attribute or give the player some sort of advantage in navigation. Sharpening stones, made by an Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity. Maintenance Oils, made by a Huntsman will increase concentration and healing power. Other utility items such as Writs or Theses made by the Scribe, can be utilized to give the player an increase in Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one utilitarian item at the start of the campaign, and an additional slot is made available through the use of certain types armor or completing engineering, research or experimental projects in the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be added by equipping the Grenade Launcher. This allows players to use the Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the primary slot.
